The 26-men Seleção squad is projected to have 3 goalkeepers, 8 defenders, and 7 mid-fielders in their roster for the 22nd edition of the marquee football tournament. The team will also have PSG star Neymar in the lineup who was in the headlines a couple of days back due to some reportedly contractual rifts with his previous club.

The highlighted name who missed making a cut to the squad of the national team for FIFA 2022 is the 21-year-old Arsenal left-winger Gabriel Martinelli. Notably, Martinelli has made 102 appearances for the Gunners since his first appearance for the club three and a half years back on the 2nd of July 2019.
