The eighth day of the Commonwealth Games 2022 came as a dream day for the Indian athletes. Many athletes from the contingent won medals in their respective events. Whereas wrestlers went on to bring golden glory to India on the eighth day of CWG 2022. Wrestlers Bajrang Punia, Sakshi Malik, and Deepak Punia won the gold medals in their respective weight categories.

India’s number of gold medals has been increased to 9 now as another Para Powerlifter Sudhir also won gold in his event. Apart from this, Indian athletes have advanced to further rounds in their games and categories.
