The West Indies - Zimbabwe clash

The clash between the two teams on October 19, Wednesday will be crucial as a win for Zimbabwe might inch them closer to the Super 12 stage of the 20-20 World Cup. As it stands, West Indies lost their first game against Scotland and they need to win the game to stay in the race.

The Caribbean skipper, Nicholas Pooran, said after the loss against Scotland that the team would look to win the remaining clashes in the match and added that the defeat hurt the team a lot. Further, the skipper said that the West Indies men slipped away after getting a decent start.

“Tough loss for us. Disappointing for sure. I guess now we got to do the hard work now and win both the games. 160 was a par score. The middle-order batting was disappointing. We have been struggling in the middle order for some time and it continues. Definitely not acceptable (asked about the batting against Scotland's spinners),” Pooran said after the match.

With regard to the clash against Zimbabwe, after electing to bat first, the Pooran-led team managed to score 153 runs on the board on the back of Johnson Charles’ 45. The renowned players Evin Lewis and Kyle Mayers disappointed with the bat as both got out for cheap scores.

Rovman Powell, who came in later in the innings, gave a late flourish and help West Indies put on a decent total on the board. As it stands, let us take a look at some of the interesting fan reactions to the picture involving Holder and Muzarabani:
