St Lucia Kings and St Nevis Patriots locked horns in the 20th match of the Caribbean Premier League’s 2022 edition. Batting first, St Lucia Kings managed to post a total of 189 runs for the loss of seven wickets in the allotted 20 overs. While chasing the target, St Kitts and Nevis Patriots could score 140 runs and lost the match by 49 runs.

Speaking of the match, then the opening pair of the skipper Faf du Plessis and Johnson Charles provided a good start of 48 runs for the first wicket in 4.4 overs. Du Plessis played a quick knock of 41 runs off just 21 balls with five boundaries and two sixes to his name. Another opener Johnson Charles played a brilliant and blistering knock of 61 runs off just 41 balls with six boundaries and three sixes.
With the help of these knocks, Kings posted a decent and big total of 189 runs for the loss of seven wickets in the first innings. Skipper Dwayne Bravo, Rashid Khan, and Dwayne Pretorius scalped two wickets each whereas Duan Jansen also picked a wicket for his team.
While chasing the target, the Patriots couldn’t have a good start as they lost their six wickets before crossing the mark of 100 runs. Young South African batter Dewald Brewis was the highest run scorer in the inning for Patriots with a knock of 32 runs off just 19 balls with a boundary and three sixes on his credit.
Kesrick Williams and David Wiese scalped three wickets each whereas Roshon Primus and Azarri Joseph also picked two and one scalps respectively. On the back of brilliance from bowlers, the Patriots bundled up the Kings only on the score of 140 runs in 20 overs.
David Wiese was adjudged player of the match for his brilliant performance both with the bat and the ball.
