It was well and truly a historic moment as playing 100 Tests is a big achievement. The 33-year-old became the 12th Indian cricketer to achieve this feat. However, what caught everyone's attention was the fact that alongside Kohli, even his wife Anushka Sharma was present during the ceremony.

Several people didn't like the fact that his wife was present on the field. A few fans on Twitter felt that Anushka shouldn't have been there and demanded a logical explanation for the same.

However, a few people defended her as well. Some Twitter users pointed out that the wives of players are always there during such ceremonies. Thus, this sparked a debate.

In the meanwhile, India's head coach Rahul Dravid presented Kohli with a special cap for the special occasion. He said that it was "well deserved". Meanwhile, Kohli thanked BCCI for giving him an opportunity to play 100 Tests for the country.

“It is a special moment for me. My wife is here and so is my brother. Everyone is very proud. It is indeed a team game and it couldn’t have been possible without you. Thanks to the BCCI as well. In present day cricket, with the amount we play with three formats and an ITL, the one takeaway the next generation can take from me is that I played 100 games in the purest format," said Virat Kohli, as quoted by News 18.
