'WELSH FIRE is the worst team' - Fans criticize Welsh Fire after another defeat in the tournament against Northern Superchargers

Welsh Fire and Northern Superchargers locked horns in the 26th match of the hundred men’s competition. Welsh Fire’s skipper Josh Cobb won the toss and decided to bat first at the Cardiff against the Superchargers. Fire posted a total of 114 runs for the loss of four wickets in the allotted 100 balls.

Later on, in the second innings, the superchargers chased down the target easily in 91 balls and won the match by six wickets. Notably, Welsh Fire have a very poor run throughout the tournament and they have lost another match in the row which has made it very difficult for them to reach through the knock-out round.

The fans also reacted to the defeat of Welsh Fire in this match, they went on to criticize Josh Cobb & co whereas they also praised the Superchargers for this victory in the crucial match of the tournament.

Coming back to the match, then wicketkeeper-batter Joe Clarke and Tom Banton started the proceedings for Welsh Fire. They got a quick blow at the score of only 10 runs when Banton fell prey to Miles in the hands of wicketkeeper Pepper. He got out only on 6 runs. Ben Duckett remained the only high scorer for the team.

Duckett scored 64 runs off 48 balls with eight boundaries to his name. Other than him, Leus du Plooy was the only batter to cross the 20-run mark for the team. Eventually, Fire ended up scoring 114 runs for the loss of four wickets in the allotted 100 balls. Craig Miles scalped two wickets for Superchargers in the first innings.

While chasing the target in the second innings, opening batter Adam Lyth and skipper Faf du Plessis provided a strong start to the team. They both made a partnership of 75 runs for the first wicket. Adam Lyth played a brilliant knock of 47 runs alongside a 32-run knock from du Plessis. These individual knocks helped Superchargers to win the match by six wickets.
