'We prayed for speedy recovery of Rishabh Pant' - Indian players visit Mahakaleshwar Temple ahead of 3rd ODI against NZ

Team India under the captaincy of Rohit Sharma is set to lock horns with New Zealand in the third and last of the three-match ODI series. Both teams will play this match at the Holkar Stadium in Indore. Notably, the men in blue have already taken an unassailable lead of 2-0 in the series and won the second consecutive ODI series of 2023.

Apart from the action on the field, Indian players paid a visit to the famous Mahakaleshwar Temple in Ujjain ahead of the third ODI in Indore. Meanwhile, the star Indian batting sensation Suryakumar Yadav talked to the journalists and opened up precisely about the reason for visiting the temple.

“We prayed for the speedy recovery of Rishabh Pant. His comeback is very important to us. We have already won the series against New Zealand, looking forward to the final match against them,” Suryakumar Yadav was quoted as saying by ANI.

Apart from that, ANI posted a series of tweets displaying pictures of Indian players attending the famous Bhasma Aarti of Mahakal Temple, Ujjain.

Following the conclusion of the ODI series against New Zealand, Rohit Sharma’s men will take on the visitors in the three-match T20I series under the captaincy of stand-in skipper Hardik Pandya. Earlier, Hardik Pandya-led Team India won the three-match T20I series against Sri Lanka by 2-0.

Talking Rishabh Pant, recently underwent successful surgery on his knee which he injured during a horrific accident last month on the 30^th of December. The 25-year-old tore all three ligaments of his right knee and currently, he is under the medical supervision of the official medical team of the Indian Cricket Board.
