During the 70th over of India's second innings, Ravindra Jadeja tried to play towards the on-side but the ball caught the outside edge. James Anderson, who was stationed on the off-side inside the circle, drop the catch as he tried to take a one-handed catch. After this, the two-time World Cup winner mocked the English veteran pacer on-air. He called him "Busurg" meaning an old person. At the time of the incident, the scorecard read 201/7 with Mohammed Shami and Jadeja at the crease.

After the incident, the visitors played two more overs before Lunch break was taken. The scorecard read 229/7. After Lunch, the Three Lions skipper Ben Stokes took it upon himself to dismiss both batters in the next seven overs. First over after Lunch, Shami tried to pull the short ball from Stokes but was caught at backward square leg.

A few over later, the all-rounder cleaned up his counterpart as the latter chopped the ball on to the stumps. The team was all-out on 254, setting the target of 378 runs to win for the hosts. In reply, the home team got off to a great start as openers, Alex Lees and Zak Crawley stitched a partnership of 107 runs. Lees scored 56 while Crawley missed out on the half-century by four runs.

After the fall of Crawley, the team lost two more wickets while adding only as many runs. At this stage, it looked like the Jasprit Bumrah-led side are asserting their authority on the game. However, Jonny Bairstow and Joe Root have stitched an unbeaten partnership of 150 runs. The team is likely to win the game as they need only 119 runs with seven wickets in hand.
