After winning the toss and electing to bowl first, they ensured that the Bangalore-based franchise don't get to a huge total in the first innings. Prasidh Krishna and Obed McCoy were fabulous in particular as they took three wickets each. The 26-year-old set the tone early on as he managed to dismiss Bangalore's star batter Virat Kohli.

The batting maestro was dismissed in the second over of the innings, and was only able to score seven runs. Despite a poor outing, Kohli still ended up winning the hearts of several fans once again. He showed an immense sense of sportsman spirit during the game. It was during the first over of the match when Kohli decided against taking a run.

In the second ball of the match, the 33-year-old had the opportunity to run due to an overthrow. As the ball had hit him, it deflected and the batters could have easily got an extra run. However, Kohli decided not to take the same. This gesture was praised by one and all. Several fans and experts loved the sportsman spirit displayed by him.

However, Kohli couldn't really make an impact with the bat as he registered yet another failure. It is to be noted that he was looking set to get to a big total this time around. As a matter of fact, Kohli hit a six off Trent Boult in the first over of the game as well. However, Krishna got the better of him in the fifth ball of the second over.

While he bowled the delivery wide of off, Kohli went to hit it, but missed. However, he did manage to edge the ball, only for Sanju Samson to collect it cleanly. This ended a rather forgettable season for the Indian batter. Kohli was able to score just two half-centuries in this edition. Besides, he also scored three golden ducks in the 16 games of the 2022 edition.
