WATCH: Marco Jansesn smashes 28 runs in Rashid Khan's over in SA20 2023 match

The young sensational all-rounder from South Africa, Marco Jansen stunned everyone with his amazing batting performance in the match of SA20 2023 against Sunrisers Eastern Cape. The 22-year-old played a swashbuckling knock of 64 runs off just 27 balls. He completed his half-century off just 20 balls.

Apart from that, Jansen stunned everyone with his batting heroics in MI skipper and star spinner Rashid Khan’s over. It all happened when Rashid was bowling in the 16^th over of the second innings.

SEC batter Jansen smashed the first ball for a massive six over deep square followed by four that went fine after taking an edge. Jansen smashed the third ball once again for a six in a slog sweep followed by another slog sweep for a six on the fourth ball of the over. Although Rashid managed a dot ball to Jansen the latter came up with an amazing slog sweep and smashed another six on the last ball of the over.

‘Player of the match’ Jansen smashed a total of 28 runs from star MI bowler and skipper Rashid Khan’s over. The video of this particular over and Jansen’s heroics went viral on social media among cricket fans as soon as it was shared on the micro-blogging site.

Speaking of the match, Easter Cape skipper Aiden Markram won the toss and asked Rashid Khan’s men to bat first. MI Cape Town posted a total of 171 runs for the loss of six wickets courtesy to the half-century by wicketkeeper-batter Grant Roelofsen and a 46-run crucial knock from opener Ryan Rickelton.

While chasing the target, Sunrisers Eastern Cape managed to cross the line in 19.3 overs for the loss of eight wickets and won the match by two wickets with three balls to spare. Marco Jansen won the ‘player of the match award for his match-defining knock.
