The fans are excited to witness a highly anticipated clash between Chennai and Bangalore on Tuesday at DY Patil Sports Academy in Mumbai. Ahead of the encounter, Chennai have posted a heart-warming video on Twitter where the players of both sides could be seen greeting each other.

Bangalore’s new captain, Faf du Plessis was part of the Chennai team till last year. However, the South African cricketer served the franchise for many years and has an emotional connect with the franchise. On Tuesday, ahead of the match, he was seen greeting all the players with whom he played during his stint with Chennai.

Josh Hazlewood and Karn Sharma, who were also part of Chennai team in the 2021 edition of the Indian T20 League, were seen interacting with their former teammates.

Former Chennai batter, Faf du Plessis was the second-highest run-getter in the Indian T20 League 2021. However, Chennai, unfortunately, couldn’t retain him or bought him back at the mega auction. In the ongoing edition of the Indian T20 League, Faf du Plessis has been given the responsibility to lead the Bangalore team.

The South African cricketer will be up against his former team on Tuesday at DY Patil Sports Academy. On facing his CSK, Faf du Plessis said,

"We're obviously playing some nice cricket at the moment, so we've got a bit of form going into the match. But we also know that Chennai are a team that you can never write off."

"They've got some incredible cricketers there. So, it's going to be a great game, and I'm looking forward to that. (Australian pacer Josh) Hazlewood has joined us, it's nice for him as well; it's his first game back, and he's also playing against his old team," he added.

Bangalore have made a dream start thus far in the Indian T20 League 2022. The franchise have managed to win three matches out of four and, thus, are sitting at number three on the points table. Chennai, on the other hand, are yet to win a game this season. With four losses in as many games, they are languishing at the bottom of the points table.
