Former Indian skipper and senior batter Virat Kohli is enduring a lean patch for the last couple of years. He is waiting for his 71st International century since the time he scored the one against West Indies in November 2019.

In the rescheduled Test match against England, the 33-year-old succumbed to young pacer Matthew Potts for just 11 runs.

Earlier, Kohli was welcomed with an exchange of a few words between him and the England fielders. All this got recorded in the stump mic. Kohli came out to bat when England pacer James Anderson scalped the wicket of senior Indian batter Cheteshwar Pujara.

Kohli was welcomed on the field with a cheer from the Indian crowd and he could have been seen doing a shadow practice. An English fielder was heard calling, "Hey, Virat’.

This was followed by a short exchange of words between the Delhi-based batter and the latter. Although, it all happened in a good manner and gesture. Responding to a call from a fielder, the Virat Kohli said ‘What’s that?’. But the rest of the audio was not that much clear.

Kohli opened his account on the seventh ball. He scored only 11 runs with two boundaries before he fell prey to young English pacer Matthew Potts.

Speaking of the game so far, India have scored 416 runs in the first innings on the back of blistering centuries from Rishabh Pant and Ravindra Jadeja. They both made a partnership of 222 runs for the sixth wicket.

Apart from that, Jasprit Bumrah made a world record for scoring the most runs in an over in Test Cricket. England lost their first wicket on the score of 16 runs in the second innings before the session got affected by rain.
