Australian men’s cricketers Alex Carey, Wes Agar and their women counterparts Ashleigh Gardner and Maitlan Brown were seen flexing their cooking skills. The four players competed in the ‘Big BBQ Bash Challenge.’ Carey and Agar were seen sporting their Adelaide Strikers jersey, while Gardner and Brown were wearing the WBBL Sixers jersey. Agar and all-rounder Gardner were in one team, while Carey and Brown comprised the other team.
The video of the four players ‘Big BBQ Bash’ was shared on BBL’s official Twitter page. Both the teams were looking sharp and at their absolute competitive spirit as they were told to make some burgers.
In the video, Agar can be heard screaming, 'Watch and learn” as he prepares the base of the patty. Meanwhile, Carey and Brown were seen distracting the other team, with their fun antics. Agar’s patty efforts did not yield him favourable results as their team lost to Carey and Brown.
It was a fun contest with all four players trying to outwit each other by disturbing one another. Eventfully, the “Big BBQ Bash Challenge" winner was decided by taking into account all the factors such as the presentation of food, its taste and qualify. Carey and Brown managed to just edge ahead.
But who's gonna make the gravy? 👨🍳

Carey is currently part of the Australian team in the ongoing Ashes series. He got to make his debut against England in Brisbane and had a memorable outing behind the stumps. The southpaw became the first wicketkeeper-batter to take eight catches on debut. He also managed to score his maiden fifty in the second Test match in Adelaide. The hosts are currently leading the Ashes series 2-0.
