Former South African captain and legendary batter AB de Villiers enjoys huge fans, thanks to his long stint with the Indian T20 League franchise Bangalore. The 38-year-old had been associated with Bangalore for a couple of seasons of the tournament. Even after ending his stint as a player in the Indian T20 League, there has been an equal amount of love. Millions of Indian cricket fans admire the Proteas veteran for his extraordinary batting abilities.

Currently, de Villiers is in India for some assignments related to his franchise, subsequently, he joined some of his ardent fans to play street cricket in the Indian city of Mumbai. Later on, the video has gone viral over social media in which the veteran of almost 20,000+ internationals can be seen batting to the bowling of a fan.

Being in Mumbai, the former Proteas couldn’t afford to miss an opportunity to meet the Master Blaster of cricket, none other than the former legendary Indian batter Sachin Tendulkar. Although this meeting between two cricketing legends was regarding some professional obligations. But these obligations couldn’t resist the South African veteran to come up with a long caption expressing his excitement of meeting one of the all-time greatest cricketers who ever played the game.

“Bottled up with excitement as I wait to meet with Sachin Tendulkar. He’s always been someone I look up to. The way he carried himself on and off the field during his playing days was nothing short of incredible! Since his retirement, nothing has changed and he still inspires millions around the world, including me," reads the caption of the post shared by de Villiers on his Instagram handle.

This meeting was supposed to be an interview meet but de Villiers kept listening to the Indian batting great and didn’t ask more questions the latter.

“So, I ended up spending a few hours with this man today. Thought I was sort of gonna interview him but ended up just listening and taking it all in. What an experience. Thanks for your time “Master Blaster” Sachin Tendulkar,” wrote de Villiers in another Instagram post.
