Virat Kohli gets signed jersey from Hong Kong, shares image on social media

Former Indian skipper and senior batter Virat Kohli showed his hands with the bat and played exceptionally well against Hong Kong in India’s second match of the Asia Cup 2022. He scored a half-century after a long time in international cricket. Notably, Kohli was enduring a poor run of form with the bat for the last couple of years in international cricket.

The 33-year-old scored 59 runs off 44 balls with a boundary and three sixes to his name. He went unbeaten with a brilliant partnership of 98 runs with the player of the match and star Indian batter Suryakumar Yadav. Their partnership helped India to score 192 runs for the loss of only two wickets in the allotted 20 overs.

Apart from the action of the match, Kohli shared something on his Instagram story which went viral over social media.

Actually, the veteran Indian right-hander got a signed jersey from Hong Kong’s team. He shared the picture of that jersey on his Instagram story. Hong Kong played praised and also wished Kohli with their signs on the jersey.

“Thank You @hkcricket, this gesture is truly humbling and very very sweet,” wrote Kohli with the picture.

Speaking of the match, then Hong Kong skipper Nizakat Khan won the toss and asked the Indians to bat first in the fourth match of the Asia Cup 2022. Skipper Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul opened the innings for India. They both made a partnership of 38 runs for the first wicket in 4.5 until Rohit fell prey to Ayush Shukla at the individual score of 21 runs off 13 balls.

After that, KL Rahul scored 36 runs and made a partnership of 66 runs with former skipper Virat Kohli for the second wicket. KL Rahul got dismissed when India’s score was 94 runs. After that, India posted a total of 192 runs with the unbeaten partnership between Kohli and Suryakumar Yadav for the third wicket.

While chasing the target, Hong Kong could score only 152 runs for the loss of five wickets in the 20 overs. Eventually, India won the match by 40 runs and entered through to the super four round of the tournament.
