The young Indian opener Prithvi Shaw is once again in the headlines following a discussion on him recently in a sports talk show on Sports Tak. One of the veteran Indian sports journalists was asked by a fan about Shaw’s place in the team in reply of which the former came up with a shocking claim about the 23-year-old.

“Hona to chahiye sir, kaafi gun player hai lekin mujhe unke baare mein jo baatein pata chali hai wo kaafi shocking hai, jinhein main yahan to nahin bol sakta hai lekin wo unko nahin karni chahiye thi (He should be there in the team, a vert talented player but the things I’ve got to know about him are very shocking, I can’t reveal all of them on air but he shouldn’t have said all that stuff,” said Sports Tak’s veteran sports journalist and anchor.
Former World Cup Winner Indian cricketer Madan Lal was also present there in the show, he went on to say that, “Kahin inka bhi wo Vinod Kambli jaisa haal nah o jaaye (Don’t know if he is on the way of doing what Vinod Kambli happened to do.”

The video of this particular short discussion is now making rounds on social media within minutes of being shared by a user on the social media platform. Subsequently, the fans also came up with some shocking reactions to the same and they also felt that the young batting prodigy might fall prey to other things besides cricket and his career could end like the one of former Indian opener Vinod Kambli’s.

Notably, the management has ignored Shaw while picking the squad for various limited-overs assignments of late. Meanwhile, the Thane-born cricketer also took to Instagram to post some cryptic stories hinting at his disappointment and frustration on not being picked in the national squad of India.
Currently, the men in blue are in action against Sri Lanka during the ongoing T20I series against Sri Lanka. The Delhi batter in Indian Cricket League was snubbed from the Indian squad for this series as well.
