Ishant Sharma was unsold in theΒ Indian T20 LeagueΒ mega auction as none of the 10 teams showed any interest in him. Many expected this as the end of Ishant Sharma in the tournament. The pacer recently made a special appearance in the ITL during a game between Bangalore and Kolkata on Wednesday.

The Delhi-born pacer was seen in the virtual guest box at the DY Patil Stadium. He made a brief appearance on the screen but he caught everyone's attention.

Many of the fans were disappointed to see him on the screen as he was not part of the tournament. Ishant Sharma, on the other hand, seemed to enjoy his time watching the match.

Meanwhile, Ishant Sharma was also not considered for the recent Test series against Sri Lanka. Along with Ishant, Wriddhiman Saha, Cheteshwar Pujara, and Ajinkya Rahane were not selected. Ishant Sharma also did not get to play any Tests during India's 2-1 loss in South Africa, as he warmed the bench. According to some reports, the South Africa tour signalled the end of Ishant's Test career. The 33-year old has played 93 games in the Indian T20 League, picking 72 wickets at an economy of 8.11. Last season too, he played for the Delhi team but only got to star in three matches.
