With senior players like Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli not performing to their usual high levels, fans of the Indian team have been disappointed, to say the least. Questions are being raised about their forced stay in the team while keeping many other more deserving players out. Reports are also coming in that the Indian players are also against the overstay of players despite poor form.

A video, that fans seem to think confirms this line of thought, has been doing the rounds on social media recently. The video is from the second T20I against England when Hardik Pandya was bowling his over. The right-arm all-rounder who has done incredibly well after coming into the team, on the back of great performance in the Indian T20 League, could be seen using abusive words on the field.

In the video, the Gujarat captain could be said saying, “Mere time mere pe dekho, *** jaye wo kya bol raha hai” meaning “look at me while I’m bowling, don’t listen to what that **** is saying.”

There are multiple versions of the story being propagated by the fans. One where they think Pandya is talking to a fielder and abusing Rohit Sharma in the process. Twitter users started to trend #HardikAbusedRohit as soon as the video went viral. Here are the tweets that suggest this line of the story.

Another set of fans think that Hardik Pandya was speaking about Virat Kohli. They think that the right-arm bowler lashed out at a fielder when he was watching Virat Kohli dance on the boundary line. The Delhi batter, who has been in poor form for a long time now, continues to have fun with the fans while fielding on the boundary line.

The third suggestion from Vikrant Gupta says that Pandya was abusing the DRS and not any player in the heated exchange that was caught by stump mic.

Meanwhile, India won the T20I series against England after being defeated in the fifth Test. India and England are scheduled to play three-match ODI series starting on 12th July.
