When a journalist asked Rohit if he had any advice for the Pakistani team, he replied that once he becomes Pakistan's coach, he will tell them what they need to work on. "Agar mai Pakistan ka coach bana to bilkul bataunga. Abhi to... Abhi kya bataunga," he said.

An Australian journalist inquired whether he planned to continue playing after the tournament, despite having accomplished everything in the game. Dhoni summoned the journalist to the podium and grilled him, which went viral on social media at the time. "Do you think I'm unfit?" Dhoni hilariously questioned. "I can’t wait to get you to the Gabba Ash I’ll tell you what, woo hoo," Tim Paine had said in the match before the Gabba Test in 2021. "Just like we want to get you to India that will be your last series," Ashwin hit back.

When describing how difficult it is for new batters to get going, the Indian all-rounder nearly used foul language in front of the media. "Turning track pe naya batsman koi bhi jayega, uske liye itna footmarks dekhke udhar hi unki matlab (smiles)... Wo... Udhar hi wo thoda ghabra jaynge," he said.
