Kieron Pollard, who was an integral part of the Mumbai franchise in the Indian T20 League, said that he would call it a time in the tournament on November 15, Tuesday and the allrounder said that he would continue his stint with the Mumbai team as the batting coach.

Although the right-handed batter will not carry the willow in the tournament anymore, fans, on the other hand, are still cherishing his evergreen knocks in the league and we decided to handpick five of his best knocks from the Indian T20 League.

1) 64(33) vs Rajasthan - (2012)

The allrounder from the West Indies was in the best of his forms in 2012 and the Caribbean star proved the same in the clash against Rajasthan when Mumbai posted a total of 197 at the end of the first innings. 

Scoring 64 runs off just 33 balls, Pollard powered the Mumbai team to a mammoth total and the franchise eventually restricted Rajasthan to 170 runs, winning the match by 27 runs. On the back of his stunning knock, the allrounder was adjourned the Player of the Match award.

2) 66*(27) vs Hyderabad - (2013)

In 2013, during the match against Hyderabad, when Mumbai were chasing a target of 179, it was Kieron Pollard who single-handedly lifted the team and helped the Mumbai team cross the line in with 3 balls to spare. 

Scoring an unbeaten 66 off 27 balls at a strike rate of over 200, the Caribbean star’s innings saw Mumbai crush Hyderabad with 7 wickets to spare, setting the momentum for the team. The incredible franchise clinched their first ever-Indian T20 League title and it became the start of a new era. 

3) 83(31) vs Punjab - (2019)

On the back of a stupendous century from KL Rahul, the Punjab team put on a huge total of 197 runs on the board in a high-scoring game between the two heavyweights. In reply, the Mumbai team eventually crossed the line and stunned everyone with their intent. 

However, it was Kieron Pollard yet again who produced the match-winning knock, which ensured the Mumbai team remained the team to beat in the edition. To add more to the knock, Pollard scored 83 runs off just 31 balls at a strike rate of 267.74 and proved his prowess yet again. 

4) 47*(20) vs Punjab- (2020)

After Mumbai’s skipper perished for a well-made 45-ball 70, Kieron Pollard, who came in towards the end, joined hands with Hardik Pandya and pushed the team to a total of 191 at the end of 20 overs. 

While Pandya scored a quickfire 30, it was Pollard’s unbeaten 47 off just 20 balls, that set the tone for Mumbai. The team eventually won the match by 48 runs on the back of a stupendous spell from Jasprit Bumrah who racked up 2 wickets in his 4 overs.

5) 87*34 vs Chennai - (2021)

When rivals Mumbai and Chennai clash, fans expect a blitzkrieg knock from Chennai and it did happen when the two teams faced off against each other in 2021. Despite putting 218 runs on the board on the back of a 27-ball 72 from Ambati Rayudu, the Chennai team lost the match, much to the dreariness of their fans. 

However, it was Kieron Pollard who did the damage with the willow as the allrounder remained unbeaten after scoring 87 runs off 34 balls that saw the Mumbai team crush Chennai in a crucial encounter.
