The 20-20 World Cup 2021 turned out to be a disastrous one for India. The men in blue were knocked out during the Super 12 stages of the tournament, and failed to make it to the semi-final. Since then, India have significantly improved in the shortest format of the game.

However, there are still a few flaws in the Indian team. One of them being the lack of a finisher. The management needs to groom someone for this role, so that they can be fully prepared for the upcoming WC this year. Today, we shall be taking a look at three finishers India should groom ahead of 20-20 World Cup 2022:

1) Shahrukh Khan:

Shahrukh Khan is currently one of the most hyped youngsters in India. His hitting-ability is superb, to say the least. Besides, he is a proven performer in the domestic circuit as well.

Thus, Punjab spent a hefty amount to purchase him during the Indian T20 league mega auction. As the upcoming 20-20 WC is set to take place in Australia, his physique can help him clear the big boundaries over there. If groomed properly, the Tamil Nadu batter can go on to do wonders for India.

2) Rahul Tewatia:

Rahul Tewatia has gone on to become the blue-eyed boy of the Indian T20 league. His ability to win games out of nowhere is one of a kind. He has already finished several games in the 15th edition of the league alone.

His USP is to effortlessly hit the pacers. The fact that Tewatia doesn't take time to settle makes him a worthy contender to feature in the 20-20 WC 2022. His temperament is praiseworthy as well.

3) Deepak Hooda:

Deepak Hooda has been impressive for quite a while now. Be it domestic cricket or the cash-rich league, he has proved why he deserves a longer run in the Indian team. He has only featured in three T20Is as of now.

However, he has played as many as 88 Indian T20 league games, and has scored 978 runs. His batting average and strike rate in this league are 17.78 and 129.37. This includes the five fifties as well.
