Indian cricket fans were very unhappy with the performance of Harshal Patel and they also slammed the Indian selectors for picking him in the squad of the 20-20 World Cup 2022 ahead of Deepak Chahar. They took to Twitter for expressing their angst on the performance of the Gujarat speedster.

Here’s how fans reacted to Harshal Patel’s performance:

Other than Harshal Patel, star Indian wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant was also on the receiving end of harsh criticism from Indian cricket fans. It all happened due to his poor display of batting in the warm-up match against Western Australia. He could score only nine runs off 16 balls.

Amidst these poor performances, star Indian batter Suryakumar Yadav smashed a brilliant knock of 52 runs off 35 balls. Whereas Arshdeep Singh, while defending the target, scalped three wickets after conceding only six runs in three overs with a maiden to his name.

Coming back to Harshal’s performance, it performance might be a big concern for the men in blue in the main round of the 20-20 World Cup 2022. Earlier, in a series of setbacks, senior pacer Jasprit Bumrah and veteran all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja have been ruled out of the eighth edition of the 20-20 World Cup.

They sustained injuries in the back and the knee respectively. Indian hopes rely on the young pacer like Arshdeep Singh and star batting sensation Suryakumar Yadav. Rohit Sharma’s men will start their campaign in the tournament against the arch-rivals on the 23rd of October next week at MCG in Melbourne.
