Sanju Samson has been dropped from the T20I squad for the five-match series against the West Indies to be played later this month. Notably, the team chosen for the Caribbean tour is a second-string one. Once again, in the last couple of months, the senior players have been rested. However, only Rohit Sharma hasn't been rested for this series, and will lead the side.

Sanju Samson was included in the team ahead of the Ireland tour and the first T20I against England. However, before these series, he was anticipated to be part of the team for the South Africa series. The right-hander was omitted and the fans weren't happy about it. When the Kerala player was included in the Ireland series, the fans were elated.
Once again, the Indian cricket board selection committee has managed to anger the fans. After omitting the Rajasthan skipper in the Indian T20 League for the second and third T20I against England, they have excluded him once again. The fans are in complete disbelief as they are asking 'Is Sanju Samson not even fit for the second XI?'.
Interestingly enough, Shreyas Iyer, who has a weakness against the short ball and has been out of form, has been given another chance. Also, not to forget, Ravichandran Ashwin, who hasn't played a white-ball game since November last year, has been included as well. Meanwhile, Sanju will be part of the ODI series against the Maroon Brigade.
The fans, on the other hand, are still not happy about his exclusion from the team. They feel that a player like him could be useful in Australian conditions. One fan suggested that wicketkeeper batters such as Rishabh Pant, Dinesh Karthik and Ishan Kishan didn't have the greatest of series. However, the player who is dropped is Samson. Another fan feels that even though he might not feature in the playing XI, he could have at least been part of the squad.

Feel for Sanju Samson. Once again Sanju was dropped from the team India's squad although he was not done anything wrong. He performed as many opportunities as he got. He played one T20I vs Ireland, he scored 77(42). At least Sanju should have been in the squad.
