Marnus Labuschagne has been in superb form of late. He consistently scored runs during the Ashes 2021-22. Besides, he is currently the number one ranked Test batter in the world. Even during the first Test against Pakistan in Rawalpindi, he scored a brilliant 90 and was unlucky to miss out on a hundred. As the first Test turned out to be a draw, the fans were hopeful of the second Test being a thrilling game. There were lot of expectations from Labuschagne going into the second Test. However, unfortunately for Labuschagne, he had to walk back to the pavilion for a duck in the first innings in Karachi.

After facing just nine balls, the Queensland batter was run-out without scoring a run. During the last ball of the 20th over, Labuschagne hit the ball towards mid-off, but the ball didn't go too wide of the fielder. Sajid Khan quickly got to the ball and a brilliant throw at the stumps ensured that Australia's number three batter was dismissed without opening his account.

As a matter of fact, Labuschagne himself looked quite dejected and was reluctantly leaving the field. Several users were shocked at the sight of the world-class batter being dismissed for a duck. This was just the second instance of him getting dismissed for zero in his Test career.

Post his dismissal, many Pakistan fans trolled him for getting run-out. They jokingly linked his dismissal to the lunch he ate the previous day. Notably, Labuschagne had posted an image of "Daal Roti" and revealed that the meal is his favourite.
