All eyes were on Virat Kohli on 12 March 2023 when he came out to bat with Ravindra Jadeja on day four of the ongoing fourth Test in Ahmedabad. Team India finished day three with a trail of 191 runs. Both Kohli and Jadeja went unbeaten while the former went with an unbeaten fifty. So, fans were hoping to see him score a century in the red-ball format finally.

However, Virat Kohli did not disappoint his fans as he finally scored his much-waited century in the longest format of the game. Kohli scored his 28th Test ton in Ahmedabad and it came after a long gap of 1205 days. But, after such achievement, his wife, the Bollywood actress, Anushka Sharma shared a video to celebrate that century on her Instagram story. She wrote: “Playing through sickness with this composure. Inspiring me always.” But, fans came up and started to troll her by labeling her as a sympathy gainer.

Speaking of the story, it seemed that Anushka acknowledged the century from Kohli despite suffering some illness. However, fans are still unknown what specific sickness has been bothering the former team India skipper. But, all Indian fans know how important a role has been played by Anushka in Kohli’s life since the marriage. Recently, before this match, they visited the Mahakaleshwar Jyotirlinga Temple. Even, in a recent podcast show of the Bangalore franchise, Virat opened up about Anushka and her sacrifices in recent years. 

"The way things have been in the past two years, we have had our child, and, as a mother, the sacrifices that she made have been massive. Looking at her, I realised whatever problems I had were nothing. As far as expectations are concerned, as long as your family loves you for who you are, you don’t expect much because that is the basic requirement," Virat said. Speaking of the match, Virat Kohli scored 186 runs off 364 balls, including 15 boundaries.
