This shocking incident has also divided cricket fans into multiple opinions over the social media platform, Twitter. Some cricket fans are going very harsh on Virat Kohli fans whereas a few have some other opinions on the issue. #ArrestKohli is currently trending on Twitter.

Here’s how fans reacted to the incident:

Speaking of the incident, a 21-year-old guy was arrested on Thursday for allegedly murdering his friend after a drunken brawl over the debate about who is better between Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli. The dead individual has been identified as P Vignesh (24) whereas S Dharmaraj is accused in the case.

While addressing the incident, the police also informed us about the incident and what actually happened in the heat of the moment.

“Both had consumed liquor. As per the initial investigation, Vignesh was supporting Mumbai Indians in the Indian Premier League (IPL) while Dharmaraj was a Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) supporter,” said Police in the statement.

“During the course of their debate, Vignesh had allegedly mocked RCB and Virat Kohli. Vignesh had the habit of body shaming Dharmaraj, who was a stammerer. On that day he had made some remarks comparing the RCB team to the speaking difficulty of Dharmaraj. This infuriated Dharmaraj who attacked Vignesh with a bottle and later hit him with a cricket bat on the head. Dharmaraj soon fled the spot,” officials added later.

Coming back to Kohli, then he is currently with team India for the upcoming 20-20 World Cup 2022 which is set to be played in Australia from tomorrow.
