Star India bowler’s wife cheated of Rs 10 Lakh, received death threats after Police complaint

Deepak Chahar tied the knot with Jaya Bhardwaj at a private ceremony in Agra on 1 June 2022. But, now reports have come out that two men from Hyderabad have scammed the star cricketer’s wife of Rs 10 Lakh. The couple gave the amount for business purposes. But, those two men refused to return the money they had taken.

The Chahar family lodged a police complaint regarding the same matter. Deepak's father Lokendra Chahar filed an FIR at Hari Parvat police station in Agra. Even, reports came out that those two men have sent death threats to Jaya Bhardwaj after the FIR. The names of those people are believed to be Dhruv Pareek and Kamlesh Pareek.

Deepak Chahar played two ODIs in Bangladesh for India

One of them was also an official at Hyderabad Cricket Association. On 7 October 2022, they took the amount from Jaya and have not returned the amount yet. Speaking about the couple, Deepak proposed to Jaya during an Indian T20 League game in 2021 in the stands of a stadium. 

After the marriage, Deepak Chahar shared a beautiful note on Instagram. He wrote: "When I met you the first time I felt that you are the one and I was right. We have enjoyed every moment of our life together and I promise you to keep you always happy like this. One of the best moments of my life. Everyone pls give your blessings to us." However, Deepak Chahar last played for India in the ODI series in Bangladesh. In that two-match series, Chahar took just one wicket.

However, he missed the majority of the cricket due to several injuries. Deepak Chahar made a much-waited return for India in the last ODI series in Zimbabwe. However, he played two matches in the series. Deepak took five wickets in those matches by conceding 102 runs. After that, Chahar replaced Avesh Khan in India's squad during the Asia Cup 2022. He played in the ODI series in New Zealand after the 20-20 World Cup.
