The T20I team included Indian players in the form of former skipper and batting superstar Virat Kohli alongside World number one T20I batter Suryakumar Yadav and star all-rounder Hardik Pandya. Notably, Kohli and Suryakumar Yadav performed exceptionally well throughout the entire edition of the 20-20 World Cup 2022.

But even after the inclusion of Virat Kohli in the men’s T20I team for the 2022’s calendar year, a section of the Indian cricket fans couldn’t keep calm. They took to the micro-blogging site Twitter and trolled Virat Kohli, the fans also questioned Kohli’s place in the men’s T20I team only on the grounds of his performances in the eighth edition of the 20-20 World Cup.

Here’s how fans trolled Virat Kohli:

Currently, the 34-year-old veteran batter is in action with the men in blue in the ongoing three-match ODI series against New Zealand. He will be seen again on the field in the upcoming third and last of the three-match ODI series against the visitors at the Holkar Stadium in Indore on Tuesday, the 24th of January.

Apart from that, Kohli is now only four centuries away from breaking the World record of 49 ODI centuries by the former legendary Indian batter Sachin Tendulkar. Notably, the Delhi batter has smashed 46 centuries in ODI cricket so far and also surpassed the former Aussie batting-great Ricky Ponting in terms of the highest international centuries.

The 2011 World cup winner batter has now 74 international centuries to his name which is 3 more than the 71 international centuries scored by Ricky Ponting in his illustrious career.

Recently, Kohli also won the ‘player of the series award for his brilliant performances throughout the entire three-match ODI series against Sri Lanka.
