Mohammed Siraj got the opportunity to play the ongoing third ODI against England as Jasprit Bumrah was unavailable due to a back spasm. The former got the opportunity to play in the tour after the fifth test match, which took place earlier this month. After that, the Men In Blue played three T20Is and two ODIs but the pacer didn't get a chance.

The right-arm pacer came in to bowl the second over of the game after the team decided to bowl first. In the first over, Mohammed Shami gave away 12 runs. In the next over, Siraj came in and bowled two dot balls first up. On the third ball, he took the wicket of Jonny Bairstow, who was caught at mid-off by Shreyas Iyer.

Joe Root came in at this stage and played two dot balls. On the last ball of the over, he nicked the ball to slips where skipper Rohit Sharma pouched it easily. The comeback of the Bangalore player has been terrific as he bowled a two-wicket maiden. On 12/2, Ben Stokes and Jason Roy stitched a partnership of 54 runs. They took the attack on Siraj and Shami.

Roy (41) played a nothing shot and was caught behind by Rishabh Pant off Hardik Pandya. The all-rounder his second wicket of Ben Stokes (27) who was caught and bowled. At the time of writing, the Three Lions were on 149/4 in 27 overs. Talking about Siraj's spell, his spell reads 7-1-51-2 at the moment.
