Shimron Hetmyer becomes father for the first time, shares heartwarming post

The Windies batter has played several impactful knocks for the Sanju Samson-led side. He was assigned the role of a finisher, and performed it to perfection. Hetmyer has scored 291 runs in 11 games at an average of 72.75. However, he had to leave for Guyana on Sunday for the birth of his first child. Thus, he left Rajasthan's bio-bubble.

However, in what comes as good news, he became a father for the first time on Tuesday. He took to his Instagram story to post a heartwarming video of himself and his child. He was seen playing with his infant. In the caption of his story, the 25-year-old expressed his love for his wife as well.

“Hey world welcome out bundle of job, tequila_goddess_nu I love you so much,” read the caption of Shimron Hetmyer's story. Thus, it didn't take too long for his post to go viral. Fans from across the globe congratulated the aggressive batter.

Now that his toddler has arrived, Hetmyer is expected to join the Rajasthan-based franchise soon. As far as the 2008-champions are concerned, then they are scheduled to face Delhi on May 11. While Hetmyer is highly unlikely to feature in this game, the fans of the franchise would be hoping that he would be available for them as soon as possible. Alongside being consistent, the Guyana batter has been able to hit the big shots for fun as well.

He has a strike rate of over 160 in this edition as of now. Moreover, he has played the rescue act for Rajasthan on numerous occasions as well. Thus, it is safe to say that he has been flexible enough to adapt to any given role in the 2022 edition. Hence, Rajasthan fans would hope that he continues the good form even after he's back.
