In a big piece of news for Pakistan cricket fans, Shaheen Afridi is all set to tie the knot with former Pak skipper Shahid Afridi’s daughter Ansha during this winter. The news of Shaheen and Ansha was revealed last year and now reliable sources have confirmed that the duo will be marrying in a nikah ceremony on the 3rd of February, 2023.

The sources understand that the Afridi family will get done with Shaheen-Ansha’s nikah ceremony before the start of the Pakistan Super League. The same source said that further events will be done after a gap of a few days.

Talking about cricket, the 23-year-old has gone through a lot during the ongoing calendar year of 2022. The Khyber-born pacer suffered a lot of injuries that forced him to stay away from international cricket and he couldn’t appear for the national side of Pakistan during a couple of crucial matches.

He was ruled out of the Asia Cup 2022 due to an injury in his knee ligament that he sustained during the second and last of the two-match Test series.

Shaheen Afridi to appear for Lahore in the Pakistan Super League 2023

Subsequently, he also suffered an injury in the eighth edition of the 20-20 World Cup 2022. Later on, he again got injured during the final of the World Cup against England while attempting a catch for his team. Furthermore, he had to go outside the ground for medical assistance.

Now, he will be in action with the Lahore Qalandars during the eighth edition of the Pakistan Super League in 2023. He will be playing in the league alongside some renowned names including the likes of Fakhar Zaman, Rashid Khan, Haris Rauf, Abdullah Shafique, David Wiese, Kamran Ghulam, Harry Brook, Jordan Cox, Liam Dawson, Sikander Raza, Hussain Talat, Dilbar Hussain, Tahir Baig, Ahmed Daniyal, Shawaiz Irfan, and Jalal Khan.

The 2023 edition of the Pakistan Super League will start from the 9th of February to the 19th of March.
