They are currently preparing for the series at the KSCA Stadium on the outskirts of Bengaluru. The stadium is in Alur, around 25 km from the city center of Bengaluru. The Aussies are preparing hard to do well against quality Indian spinners, likes of Ravichandran Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja, Kuldeep Yadav, and Axar Patel.

Australia decided not to play any tour game this time around in India ahead of the Test series

Reports also came out that they are thinking Axar Patel is going to be the biggest threat to them. Hence, Australian batters are studying his footage. In this ongoing camp in Alur, the KSCA curators prepared the pitch in such a way that it would turn square as it wears down. As per cricket.com.au, there was enough evidence of spin on Day 1 of their training camp. But, on 3 February 2023, a video has gone viral where a young Indian spinner was bowling at the nets to Australia. His bowling was exactly like Ravichandran Ashwin and he was flown in from Vadodara. Australia support staff watched his videos on social media and took the decision to use him as a net bowler.

Before this camp, Australia also had a two-day spin camp in North Sydney before coming to India. That camp took place at Bon Andrew's Oval in North Sydney where curators prepared a pitch that resembled a sub-continent wicket. However, this young spinner’s name is Mahesh Pithiya. Pithiya made his Ranji Trophy debut in 2022 for Baroda. He was seen bowling star Australian batter Steve Smith and that video has now gone viral on all social media platforms.
