‘Sapne suhane Bangladesh ke’ - Fans react to viral placard showing prediction of World Cup 2023 during 3rd ODI between Ireland and Bangladesh

Here is how fans have reacted to the viral placard showing Bangladesh vs India final in the upcoming ODI World Cup 2023

Bangladesh recently won the three-match ODI series against Ireland with a margin of 2-0. After the first match got abandoned due to rain, the Bangla Tigers won the next two matches. However, ahead of the 2023 ODI World Cup in India later this year, this series gave good preparation to Tamim Iqbal and his men.

Now, in the third ODI, an image has gone viral where a Bangladeshi fan was seen with a placard. The placard shows that the fan has predicted a World Cup final between Bangladesh and India at Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad. He even predicted that Bangladesh will win the final by four wickets while chasing 332 runs. Shakib Al Hasan was also predicted as the Player of the Match.

Seeing that, fans went crazy and shared some funny tweets in reply. However, some fans also slammed the Bangladeshi fan for the wrong spelling of Team India players’ names. Speaking of the third ODI, Bangladesh batted first and got bundled out for 274 runs in 48.5 overs. In reply, Ireland fought hard but managed to score 269 runs for nine wickets in 50 overs. Thus, Bangladesh won the match by just five runs. Mustafizur Rahman won the Player of the Match award for grabbing four wickets for 44 runs in his 10 overs. 

After the win during the post-match presentation, skipper Tamim Iqbal said: “If I tell you we had the believe we'd win, I'd be lying. But cricket is a funny game, wickets fall and scoreboard pressure is bad to have. When the Fizz got two wickets, we thought we had a chance. I think Ireland are a quality side, they need to play more in different conditions and do better. They do well here, need to come to Asia and do well there too. If you have a good bowling attack, it's easier to captain. Very happy with our fast-bowling unit. One or two are injured but we still have a solid bowling attack. I thought it's not just Chelmsford but wherever we go, our crowd have outnumbered the opposition, they have been great.”
