Rajasthan receives massive boost ahead of Chennai game, star batter confirms availability

Rajasthan have been absolutely brilliant in the ongoing Indian T20 League 2022. With their recent 24-run win over Lucknow, they are currently placed second on the points table. The Sanju Samson-led side have won 13 out of their eight games as of now.

However, they didn't have the services of Shimron Hetmyer during their last two games. The West Indian had left Rajasthan's bio-bubble for the birth of his first child. Nevertheless, in what comes as good news for the franchise, Hetmyer is back, and will feature in Rajasthan's upcoming game against Chennai. It is to be noted that this match is scheduled to take place on May 20.

A day before Rajasthan's match on Lucknow, the official Twitter handle of the 2008-champions posted a Tweet enquiring about Hetmyer. While mentioning his pink hair, they asked him to return.

"Gulaabi baalo wale Hettie, laut aao 😂" read Rajasthan's Tweet. To which, Shimrom Hetmyer replied by saying that he is here only. As he Tweeted the same in Hindi, his response instantly went viral.

"Idhar hi hoon". Read Shimron Hetmyer Tweet. Besides, the 25-year-old has been simply sensational in the 2022 edition. He has played the role of a finisher to perfection. Hetmyer has scored 291 runs in 11 games at an average of 72.75 and strike rate of 166.29 respectively.

In the meanwhile, Rajasthan's skipper Sanju Samson was pleased with his troops after their comprehensive win over Lucknow. He had heaps of praises for his bowlers. Thus, the Rajasthan-based franchise would want to win their final game, and secure their spot in the Qualifier 1.

"Credit to the boys. You keep on losing here and there. We want to go out there and express ourselves as a batting unit. We have a quality bowling lineup to defend. Last game also, Ashwin did well. Sometimes you take decisions and look bad when you lose. We can control the intensity. Neesham brought some amazing energy on to the field. There is some bonus for having some quality spinners. We can use them any time," said Sanju Samson during the post-match presentation on Sunday.
