Match 22 between Welsh Fire and Southern Brave in The Hundred 2022 turned out to be a one-sided affair. It was Brave's day as they managed to clinch a crucial two points. Southern Brave skipper, James Vince spun the coin and called it right. He decided to chase down the total putting the trust in his bowlers.

Joe Clarke and Jacob Bethell marched on to the crease and looked to settle down. George Garton, however, had other plans as he produced a magical spell right away. He picked up Bethell's scalp on the very second ball of the innings. Josh Cobb followed him back to the dressing room in a span of two balls as Garton deceived the batter with angling in yorker.

He never looked like stopping as he removed Ben Duckett for a duck on the seventh ball of the innings. After the 20th ball, Welsh Fire was struggling with eleven runs on the board and having lost three wickets. The entire burden to lift the team from the mud fell on David Miller's shoulders. But, he did not deliver as he got out for just fifteen runs with less than a hundred strike rate.

The Brave bowlers never really allowed the Fire batters to settle down as Jake Lintott picked up Joe Clarke's wicket. The Fire was reduced to 100 runs for the loss of seven wickets after the 90th ball. Matt Critchley produced a late fireworks show and managed to bag a couple of sixes and a couple of boundaries as well. The Brave ended up amassing 129 runs for the loss of eight wickets after hundred balls.

Ireland's star Paul Stirling and South African star Quinton de Kock opened the innings for the Brave first up. The Irish star was on fire and started finding gaps quite easily. George Scrimshaw was the victim as he conceded four boundaries against Paul Stirling and had to bear the wrath. David Payne conceded two sixes against the Ireland batter post a quiet ten-ball period. Quinton de Kock joined the party as he pushed the team's total past 100-mark on the 63rd ball.

Dwaine Pretorius picked up the scalp of his South African teammate, Quinter de Kock. Tim David and Paul Stirling sealed the game for the Brave as they won the game by nine wickets. Paul Stirling remained unbeaten after scoring a massive 74 off 42 balls.
