Unmran Malik has been superb in the ongoing Indian T20 league 2022. His ability to bowl fast has managed to impress one and all. Besides, Hyderabad's management have continuously backed him. Several stalwarts have gone on to speak really highly of the youngster as well.

The speedster has picked 15 wickets in 10 games so far in this edition. However, the last two games haven't really been great for him. Malik has proved to be expensive, and has leaked runs. When it comes to Hyderabad's recent game against Delhi, Malik went for 52 runs in his full quota of four overs. Yet, he grabbed the headlines for his pace.

As a matter of fact, the 50th game of the 2022 edition between the Kane Williamson-led side and Delhi saw Malik bowl the fastest delivery of the season. It was during the fourth ball of the 20th over when he did the same. Malik bowled a 157 kmph delivery to Rovman Powell. While it was wide of off, the Windies batter hit it for a four.

This also happened to be the second-fastest delivery in the history of the league. Only Shaun Tait has bowled a faster delivery than this (157.71 kmph). Thus, the fans were mighty impressed with his feat. Several of them took to Twitter to speak about Malik's unique achievement.

After bowling this 157 kmph delivery, he backed it up by bowling a 155 kmph in the next ball. However, Powell hit that for a four as well. The Delhi-based franchise ended up scoring 207-3 in the first innings. Post which, the Rishabh Pant-led side were able to defend it as they restricted the orange army to 186-8 in the second innings and thus, won the game by 21 runs. This is their fifth win of the 2022 edition.
