England and Pakistan are facing off in the second Test and it was the Three Lions who dominated Day 3 of the Test match on December 11, Sunday. To add more, post setting a target of 355, the English pacers rattled the Pakistani top-order and it was James Anderson yet again, who produced the first wicket.

To comment on Anderson’s wicket, the English veteran pacer bowled a mid-length delivery that pierced onto the middle and off stump, puzzling Mohammad Rizwan, who was unaware of what shot to play for the peach of a delivery. Fans, who shared the video on the internet, said that it was one of the best deliveries that they have witnessed in recent times.

As things stand, things are not going right for the Babar Azam-led team as they lost 4 wickets post putting 198 runs on the board at the end of the day. Although Saud Shakeel remained in good touch and was unbeaten at 54 at the stumps, it remains to be seen if he could carry on the momentum on Day 4 as well, given that the batters tend to get vulnerable early in the day.

At present, the Test match is equally poised as the Three Lions were bowled out for 281 in their first innings on the back of Abrar Ahmed’s stupendous seven-for. The debutant left no stone unturned to shock the English batters who failed to read him in the first innings. While Babar and his men scored 202 in reply, Ben Stokes and his men put on 275 runs on the board in their second innings, setting a mammoth total.

Pakistan would hope to make a comeback and settle the innings early on into the day on Monday. However, England, at the moment, look like favourites to win the match and the series, given that the team already crushed Pakistan in the first Test of the three-match series. If at all Pakistan lose the series, it would come as a humiliating loss for them as they are yet to make an impact this year in the longest format of the game.
