MS Dhoni, Rohit Sharma among the top two spots in the 10 most exciting players list from May 13-19

Over the last couple of months, the fans have witnessed some great games of cricket in the Indian T20 League 2022. Teams like Gujarat and Lucknow impressed one and all in their debut seasons, while the likes of Mumbai and Chennai had forgettable seasons.

Gujarat has become the first team in the ongoing edition to seal a spot in the playoffs. The second finalist will be decided today in the Qualifier 2 match between Rajasthan and Bangalore. Meanwhile, Ormax Media which is India’s only specialized media consulting firm, has released list of the most exciting players for May 13-19.

At the bottom of the list is Andre Russell. The West Indies all-rounder takes the 10^th position. Russell was one of the bright spots in Kolkata’s team this season. He played some crucial knocks with the bat but couldn’t take the team to the playoffs.

At number 8 and 9 are Dinesh Karthik and Sanju Samson respectively. Both have been brilliant for their respective teams in the competition. Dinesh Karthik has been one of the standout batters for Bangalore this season and his superlative performances have helped him earn a call-up to the Indian team. Sanju Samson, on the other hand, is the second-highest run-getter for the team.

Umran Malik and KL Rahul takes the number 7 and 6 position respectively. Umran Malik is a contender for the emerging player in the competition. He has consistently bowled at over 150 clicks and has also earned his maiden call-up in the Indian team. KL Rahul, once again, scored over 600 runs in the 2022 edition of the Indian T20 League. He has maintained the consistency with the runs but couldn’t take Lucknow in the final.

The highest run-getter in the Indian T20 League 2022, Jos Buttler occupies the number five position. He has wreaked havoc for Rajasthan and helped the team reach the playoffs. Buttler has over 700 runs this season and could reach the 800-run mark if Rajasthan reach the final.

Hardik Pandya has been one of the most impressive players this season. He has led Gujarat team with authority and has also scored the most runs for the team. Despite enduring a lean run with the bat, Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli take the number 2 and 3 position respectively.

Legendary Indian skipper, Mahendra Singh Dhoni, once again, took the number one position on the list. He couldn’t lead the team to the playoffs but his performances with the bat did inspire some confidence. Much to the delight of the fans, he will be playing the next season for Chennai as well.
