The 31-year-old star Indian batter Suryakumar has stunned the cricketing world with his sensational batting outings in the T20 international cricket. The lad is currently enjoying his purple match during the ongoing series against West Indies. He has recently led India to a victory with his excellent 76-run knock in the third of the five-match T20I series.

The Mumbai-based sensation has reached the number 2 position in the international men’s batters ranking in T20I cricket just after 22 T20I matches in his career. Now, the skipper of Pakistan, Babar Azam is the only player who is ahead of Suryakumar Yada, only with a difference of 3 rating points. The right-hander might reach the top spot with another amazing performance in the next fixture of the T20I series against West Indies.

Notably, the Indian team locked horns with the men in maroon in the third T20I of the series. Indian skipper Rohit Sharma won the toss and elected to bowl first. A decent knock of 73 runs from Kyle Mayers helped the hosts to post a total of 164 runs for the loss of five wickets.

Later on, while chasing the target, Suryakumar Yadav emerged as a major difference between the West Indies and the win. He played a brilliant knock of 76 runs off just 44 balls with eight fours and four sixes to his name. He also made an outstanding partnership of 86 runs with Shreyas Iyer for the first wicket as Rohit Sharma had to retire early due to a muscle pull.

With the batting heroics of Suryakumar Yadav, and Shreyas Iyer that was later joined by Rishabh Pant, the Indian team won the match comfortably with a major difference of seven wickets. The visitors are currently leading the series with a score line of 2-1.
