Pakistan lost the final of the 20-20 World Cup 2022 against England. The men in green batted first and posted a target of 138 runs for the English team in the allotted 20 overs. While chasing the target, the veteran all-rounder Ben Stokes played a crucial role in England’s title triumph in the eighth edition of the 20-20 World Cup.

Meanwhile, Pakistan’s loss in the title clash against the three lions has ignited a debate once again among the cricketing fraternity of India and Pakistan.

While expressing his disappointment over Pakistan’s loss, former legendary Pak pacer Shoaib Akhtar tweeted only an emoji of broken heat at his official Twitter handle.

It went viral after a hit-back from the senior Indian pacer Mohammed Shami who took a jibe at Akhtar. Shami’s tweet mentioning Akhtar’s disappointment after Pakistan’s loss is being referred to the criticism that the Rawalpindi express went on to deliver on the Indian speedster.

“Sorry brother It’s call karma 💔💔,” tweeted Mohammed Shami in the form of a quote tweet mentioning Akhtar’s tweet.

Earlier, Akhtar was of a critical opinion for Shami’s selection in the Indian squad for the 20-20 World Cup 2022.

“Pata nahin Shami ko kahan se utha kar le aaye (Don’t know from where they brought Shami into the team),” said Akhtar when Mohammed Shami replaced the injured pacer, Jasprit Bumrah.

Speaking of the final match between England and Pakistan, the men in green took control of the match in the second half on the back of brilliant performances from their bowlers. But Ben Stokes kept the three lions constantly in the game and eventually crossed the finishing line to guide his team toward another World Cup win after the 2019 ODI World Cup triumph.

England’s young 24-year-old young all-rounder Sam Curran also played a crucial role in England’s win in the title clash against Pakistan. He also won the ‘player of the match award for scalping three wickets by conceding just 12 runs in his quota of four overs.
