England have become a powerhouse in world cricket as they are now the current world champion in both the ODI and 20-20 format. They won the ODI World Cup in 2019 while winning the 20-20 World Cup in 2022. So, in 2023, they will look to defend the ODI World Cup title in India.

Now, a video has gone viral where star England cricketers were seen playing cricket with the UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak. The video seemed to be an old one as it was might that time when England went to meet the Prime Minister after winning the 20-20 World Cup in 2022. Luca Boffa, a senior videographer to the Prime Minister shared the video on his Twitter account.

He wrote in the caption: “Prime Minister @RishiSunak playing cricket with the #T20 World Cup winning cricket team at 10 Downing Street”. In that video, Rishi Sunak was seen batting and bowling. England bowlers like Sam Curran and Chris Jordan were seen bowling to him. So, seeing that fans were happy and shared their views on the social media platform.

Speaking of England’s title-winning campaign during the 20-20 World Cup 2022 in Australia, they handed a 10-wicket loss to the Men in Blue in the semi-final. After that, they met India’s arch-rivals Pakistan in the final. They won the final by five wickets and won the 20-20 World Cup for the second time in their history. The first won it in 2010 by defeating Australia. 

Meanwhile, Sam Curran had a terrific tournament as he won the player of the tournament award for his all-round performances. Veteran all-rounder Ben Stokes also came up with some handy contributions when teams needed those most. England recently toured Bangladesh for a three-match ODI and T20I series. They defeated the Bangla Tigers by 2-1 in the ODI series while getting whitewashed in the T20I series.
