Major setback for the Indian camp! Ravindra Jadeja ruled out of the T20 World Cup 2022 due to injury

In a shocking setback for the Indian, team, senior all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja has been ruled out of the T20 World Cup 2022 commencing next month in October. The 33-year-old has recently sustained an injury in the knee. It is the very injury due to which he had to miss the limited-overs bilateral clash against West Indies last month.

Just a few hours back, it was also confirmed that he will not be a part of the Indian side in the entire remaining part of the Asia Cup 2022. Notably, Jadeja was in brilliant form with the bat in the ongoing edition of the Asia Cup.

He played a very crucial role in India’s win in the must-win or much-anticipated encounter against the arch-rivals Pakistan. It was the first match for India in the tournament. He played a knock of 35 runs off just 29 balls with two boundaries and two sixes to his name.

It is being seen as a big drawback for the Indians as it will definitely hamper their preparations for the upcoming marquee tournament in October 2022. Prior to the World Cup, Jadeja is also set to miss the bilateral white-ball home clashes against South Africa and Australia.

Indian team management can pick any of these players as replacements for Ravindra Jadeja

The skipper Rohit Sharma and team management will definitely look ahead to replace Jadeja with either of the perfect and like-to-like replacements both in the Asia Cup and T20 World Cup as well.

There are a couple of names on which the management might probably count. The list included the Rohtak- based batter from Haryana, Deepak Hooda who is in a brilliant touch with the bat for the last couple of months. Other than him, if talking about a perfect like-to-like replacement, then management can also eye on the star all-rounder Axar Patel who can deliver both with the bat and the ball.

Discussing a name other than Hooda and Patel, then young spinner Ravi Bishnoi might emerge as a first choice for the selectors. He has impressed everyone with his amazing bowling performances in the last four T20 international matches with 10 wickets to his name with is very economical.
