However, he will not take further part in the tournament as he will be travelling to Pakistan to play the upcoming edition of the Pakistan Super League. The Proteas bowler is a part of the Multan Sultans and will be available for the tournament, which is all set to commence on January 27. As a matter of fact, the first game of Pakistan's T20 league is between Multan Sultans and Karachi Kings.

Both of these teams were the finalists of the previous edition in 2021 as well. Notably, the leggie was retained by the Rizwan-led side for the seventh edition of the league. Meanwhile, in his last game for World Giants, Tahir played a sensational knock with the bat to help his side beat India Maharajas.

While the South African is generally known for his bowling, it is his batting that enabled the Sammy-led side to cross the line. He went on to score an unbeaten 52 off just 19 deliveries during the second innings on Saturday. The fact that he did while chasing a total in access of over 200 made his knock even more special.

The Giants were 130 for six in the 14th over. It was Tahir's late assault that snatched them a victory from the jaws of defeat. His knock consisted of three boundaries and five sixes.

Earlier in the game, the keeper-batter of the Maharajas, Naman Ojha scored a brilliant 140 from just 69 deliveries. This special performance propelled the Kaif-led side to a score of 209 in the first innings. Although his knock went in vain, he went on to win the Player of the Match award.
