On 15 March 2023, India Maharajas took on World Giants in the ongoing LLC Masters. After defeating the Asia Lions in their third match, the Maharajas opened the account. But, fans were hoping to see better performances from several players like Suresh Raina. However, he did not disappoint his fans in the match against World Giants.
The Giants defeated the Maharajas by three wickets while chasing only 137 runs. But, Suresh Raina managed to score 49 runs off 41 balls while batting first. He also smashed two fours and three sixes. But now a video has gone viral where Raina was seen making fun of Shahid Afridi over his retirement from international cricket.

Suresh Raina has scored 71 runs so far in the LLC Masters
Speaking of the video, Suresh Raina was seen attending the post-match press conference. In that, a reporter asked him: ‘Everyone wants you back in the Indian T20 League after your performance tonight in Legends League Cricket.’ In reply to that, The former team India cricketer said: ‘I’m Suresh Raina, not Shahid Afridi. I’ve taken retirement’ with laughter. Speaking of Raina, he took retirement from all forms of cricket on 6 September 2022. On the other hand, Shahid Afridi gets trolled for making several comebacks despite taking retirement. According to records, he retired five times in his international career only to return back four times.
Meanwhile, Suresh Raina was a very crucial part of the Chennai franchise of the Indian T20 League. In that tournament, he scored 5528 runs in 205 matches, including 39 fifties and one century. However, he last played in the tournament in 2021 as he did not get a team in the last edition in 2022. Speaking of this ongoing tournament, he has scored 71 runs so far in three innings for India Maharajas.
