Michael Vaughan is known as one of the greatest cricketers and captains in the history of England cricket. For England, Vaughan played 82 Tests where he scored 5719 runs in 147 innings. In 86 ODIs, he scored 1982 runs in 83 innings while scoring 27 runs in two T20I innings.

However, currently, he works as a commentator in several series. Fans also know him as a critic who always comes up with comments on the performance of several teams like India, Australia, and others. However, all eyes are set now on the upcoming Border-Gavaskar Trophy that is going to start on 9 February 2023.

The first Test between India and Australia will take place in Nagpur. Now, the former England cricketer, Michael Vaughan predicted the winner of the series while replying to a fan on Twitter. The fan asked: “Ur predictions #INDvsAUS”. In reply, Vaughan said: “India will win…” Team India currently won white-ball format series at home against Sri Lanka and the Kiwis. After winning the ODI series against the Lankans, Vaughan tweeted: “Good to see India playing the one-day game the modern way .. They have all the tools & skills to be the best if they commit to being aggressive with Bat & ball.” He heaped high praises on the new approach from team India in both the 50-over and 20-over formats.

Speaking of the upcoming series, India will look to avoid a series loss against the Aussies to strengthen their chances in order to get qualified for the final of the ongoing World Test Championship. Otherwise, Men in Blue need to focus on other Test series’ results. Meanwhile, the Aussies last won a Test series in India in 2004/05. But, fans were not happy with the prediction from the former England skipper. They claimed that Michael Vaughan has now jinxed teh victory of India and as a result, now Australia can win the series.
