Former legendary Indian skipper and one of the greatest cricketers of all-time MS Dhoni had already hung his boots in international cricket almost two and a half years back in the year 2020. But still, he enjoys a massive fan following not only among the Indian cricket fans but the cricket lovers throughout the diameter of the cricketing world.

The 41-year-old is the only skipper to win the major international tournaments among skippers who ever played the game. He led the men in blue to a title win in the 20-20 World Cup 2007 followed by the title triumphs in the ODI World Cup 2011 and Champions Trophy of 2013.

After retiring from international cricket, the Ranchi cricketer is still available for his team Chennai in the Indian T20 League. He is reported to play his last Indian T20 League season in 2023 for Chennai.

Meanwhile, Dhoni was recently spotted practicing in the nets ahead of the 16th edition of the tournament. The photos of Mahi’s practice session were shared on social media by a Twitter user. But a section of the Indian cricket fans took it as an opportunity to troll the former Indian skipper. They took to the comment section of the tweet to mock MS Dhoni’s defensive batting skills of late in the Indian T20 League.

Speaking of MS Dhoni’s stats in the shortest format of the game, he appeared in 98 ODIs in the Indian colors. In these matches, he scored 1617 runs with an average of 37.60 with two half-centuries to his name.

Apart from that, the two-time World Cup winner skipper led Chennai to four title victories in the Indian T20 League since the inception of the tournament almost 15 years back in the year 2008.
