Kuldeep was one of India’s main spinners but recently the bowler finds himself out of the team due to many injuries he sustains. The Kanpur-born bowler had a great Indian T20 League after his comeback from injury. Playing for the Delhi franchise, he took 21 wickets in 14 matches, the fifth-highest in the tournament.

Everyone was elated about his comeback and expected the left-arm spinner to land a place on the National side after his impressive performance. Contrary to everyone’s expectations, however, the 27-year-old was injured again and had to miss the India- South Africa T20I series at home.

Reports have now emerged that Yadav is inching towards full recovery and would be up for a place in the Indian team. Recently, Kuldeep Yadav posted a picture of him at the National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru. Despite his recovery process ending soon, the bowler would not be picked for the upcoming white-ball series against England. The team for the same is expected to be picked up later this week.

Since spinners namely, Yuzvendra Chahal, Axar Patel, Ravi Bishnoi, and Ravindra Jadeja are already in England and have acclimatized to the English conditions it makes Yadav’s comeback to the team for England series impossible.

Having sights set on the upcoming world cup, India is expected to field a full-strength team against England. India and England are set to play three T20Is and three ODIs starting 7th July. Apart from the injured KL Rahul, all the other main players would be available and will return to the white-ball side. Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, and Jasprit Bumrah are expected to join the limited-overs side after the first Test starting on July 1.

In other news, the Indian captain Rohit Sharma had been infected with the COVID virus and is currently going through quarantine in the team hotel. The name of the Test captain for the solo Test against England is yet to be announced.
