It remains to be seen if the new stadium would cater to all the needs and become an international stadium in the future, although one has to agree that Gujarat is the home to some of the best stadiums in the world. The likes of Rajkot stadium and the Narendra Modi stadium are considered to be among the best, with the latter being the largest cricket stadium in the world when it comes to seating capacity.

Chetan Sharma to be roped in once again?

The Indian cricket board sacked the entire selection committee led by Chetan Sharma post India’s dismal exit from the 20-20 World Cup 2022. However, on Wednesday, reports emerged claiming that the board might rope in the former Indian cricketer for the role once again, although many opined that it might not be true, given that the board were keen on ousting Chetan.

The Indian team faced off against Sri Lanka on Tuesday in the first T20I of the three-match series and won the game by 2 runs, on the back of a four-for from Shivam Mavi and a two-for from Umran Malik. As far as the batting is concerned, it was Ishan Kishan, Deepak Hooda and Axar Patel who stood up with the bat with their 37, 41 and 31 runs respectively.

“Now, yes definitely (getting used to being called captain). It is just cramps. Now I have tendency to scare people but if I am smiling then everything is fine. I did not sleep well, did not drink enough water and hence the glutes were stiff. I want to put this team in difficult situations because it will help us in big games (on Axar bowling the last over),” Hardik was quoted as saying after the match.

As things stand, let us take a look at a few Twitter reactions to Jay Shah’s video:
