Indian skipper KL Rahul opted to bowl first after winning the toss in the second ODI against the hosts. Fans were surprised by the decision of resting Deepak Chahar from the playing XI of this match. Notably, Chahar has made a comeback in international cricket in the first of the three-match ODI series.

He sustained an injury during the Indian T20 League. He was out of international cricket since then and recently recovered from the injury. The 30-year-old pacer recently made his international appearance for the Indian team in the opening fixture of the ODI series against Zimbabwe.

During the first ODI, Chahar bowled seven overs and picked up three wickets conceding just 24 runs in his spell. Fans are also criticizing KL Rahul for bowling continuous overs from Deepak Chahar and benching him out of the team just after the one match in the series.
