Australia made a fantastic start to the ongoing third Test against India in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. After winning the toss, Rohit Sharma elected to bat first. But, the home side suffered a massive batting collapse as they got bundled out for just 109 runs in 33.2 overs. Australian spinners were on a roll, especially Matthew Kunhemann as he took five wickets for 16 runs in nine overs.

Then, their batters showed some control and finished the day with a lead of 47 runs by losing only four wickets. So, the Indian fans were wondering how the Men in Blue make a comeback in the first session of day two. For Australia, Peter Handscomb and Cameron Green came out to bat.

They made a good start as Australia managed to reach 186 runs before losing any further wickets. On the sixth delivery of the 70th over, Ravichandran Ashwin took the wicket of Peter Handscomb. Then, Umesh Yadav came back with a fiery spell of three overs. During that spell, Yadav took three wickets in quick succession. Thus, the Aussies got bundled out for 197 runs in 76.3 overs. The visitors suffered a humiliating batting collapse as they lost their last six wickets for just 11 runs.

For India, Ravichandran Ashwin and Umesh Yadav took three wickets each. While Ravindra Jadeja grabbed four wickets. However, it was not the first time that Australia failed to avoid a batting collapse in this series. In Nagpur, they lost the last five wickets for just 15 runs in the first innings and in the second innings, all batters got bundled out for just 91 runs. Then, in the second innings of the Delhi Test, the Aussies lost their last seven wickets for just 18 runs. So, fans came up with some funny memes to troll the visitors on the social media platform.
